Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I am in New England but seriously wouldn't take back any birds. I worry about transmission of anything that would be detrimental to my flock. The only way I could see anyone taking back multiple roos is if they send them off premise to be culled, JMO.

Here's my WM fuzzies!!!! So far 9 of 11 have hatched!!!

pips&peeps :

I found this egg this morning. It is from one of my lavender pullets. This is not a joke, this is the actual egg color.

I imagine the next one won't be exactly this color since sometimes the eggs take a long time to run through the oviduct when the birds are first starting up.

Hopefully you can see the detail in the picture. This looks like it was painted with dye for easter.

Well, the picture does not do it justice. It is a much darker blue.

Wow!
One of Kevs green egger single comb naked necks laid one that color. Just one, the rest are regular blu/green eggs.

The color was totally amazing as well.

Just hatched 7 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten chicks from chicken stalker...they are huge and fluffy! I also hatched my very first bantam Lavender Ameraucanas from AmyJ...these chicks are as cute as they come!!! And I hatched one solitary LF Lavender Ameraucana, as my friends took my Lav eggs for themselves to hatch and left me with one egg! The girls have been on hiatus ever since!!!

Just my luck!
