Well tell her to knock it off and get back to laying pretty eggs. (Just kidding)

Nooo! This is my first EVER broody!

I moved her last night into a dog crate and I've already ordered some eggs specifically for her to brood. I'm hoping so much that she doesn't decide to leave the nest.

I'm SO excited about the possibility of have a momma hen and chicks!

Congrats Jeremy! I hope you have better luck with yours that I had with mine. I had a first time broody lavender Ameraucana that I seperated out and gave her some eggs (of course they were eggs I REALLY REALLY wanted to have hatch) and she pooed all over them and none of them hatched.

I'm trying to upload a picture of my new chicks that hatched a week ago and I can't figure out how to do it. I have looked at the instructions but I'm not doing something right.

oh well, I think all will be fine and will just have to see before lockdown. I also have a broody Ameraucana that's been on eggs for about a week now and a Cinnamon Queen that went broody....go figure!!!! I put some guinea and Ameraucana eggs under her.

I also wonder if anyone has dealt with Custom Incubators out of Marlow, OK. I ordered an incubator from them and didn't receive it and called and they said they had received it back (got dropped) and would mail another one out.......STILL WAITING!!!!

I am really excited!

If it can be done, I want to try and select hens known to want to brood and using them especially in my line of birds. I feel like it's a trait that is definitely worth breeding towards and obviously it's much cheaper than having to buy a Brinsea...

I think you need to upload them first, then add the photos to the post, also there is a post on how to do it. I host my photos on our website and just link the photo here using the IMG button above the smilies. HTH

ByNatureFarms thanks I got it to work. I was trying to link it to where it was saved on my computer and forgot I had uploaded it to BYC...
