Nice blue color. The other eggs are from olive eggers that hatched at the same time and a Jumbo maran egg that we got today.
It is really hard to capture the true color of them.

This is Amelia. My first and only Ameracauna. I got her from a fellow AZ BYCer. (Amelia is from Wayne Meredith hatching eggs)

1st day home (July 19, 2011)with her 2 sisters. Iris (lavender orpington-from hinkjc) and Francesca ( glw from bawg_bear)

OK I can't stand it. I gotta post some pics of my chicks. I just love this little group so much

In this little "family" I have one blue wheaten pullet (4 1/2 months old), one solid blue marans (4 months), two black Am cockerels and one black Am pullet. They are so sweet, get along so well. I dread the day when I have to break them up to go to their own pens with their own kind.
The wheaten pullet is my very first egg that ever hatched. She is absolutely darling.

I could keep going... feel like a gramma showing off baby pics. lol I am just so happy with my hatching results this past summer!

Thanks! I like him pretty well!

To answer your question....She may wait til spring now if she hasn't started laying already since the onset of shorter days with winter is upon us. You can try putting her under lights, but it's probably not worth it for just a few birds. Usually 6-10 months, with 8-9 being pretty common, but shorter days messes them up if it coincides with the start of lay.
