What? Nobody is crying?!?! I love ameraucana breeders.

Actually this is a rhetorical question and I do not expect answers but wanted to comment that you "jest never know" no matter what and how hard you work. Some things have no answers and are just strange. Look at your last hatch, really.................... all those beautiful chicks and only one female yikes ! I just read posts to learn and my goal is just to have a nice flock.

Oh good golly...that wasn't MY last hatch! LOL Though I can't say that's never happened before. My point is, there was a REASON why OEGB's came out of the blue eggs...that kind of stuff doesn't just "happen" the same way whether you get girls or boys just "happens"...

OOOps it was Amy's hatch ! sometimes my old brain, ya know

Thank u, and I know that now. I didn't think I was even attached to them (since theyre only 11 weeks old)
But as soon as I saw it I felt saddened :( But I ordered 6 barred rocks, and 6 wyandottes from the local feed store last weekmand theyll arrive wednesday, so at least I have something positive to look forwarded to!

Yeah, it doesn't seem to matter how long you do it, or how many you lose...there's always at least some of them that peck their way into your heart, and it hurts when they are gone...
