Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Need an opinion on gender. I hatched 6 BBS Ameraucanas. I knew one was a roo within the first week. The others all seem very pullet like, except for this. This one grew this comb in the last week. This chick is 8 weeks old. Is this a 3 ridged comb, or 1 ridge with bumps on the side? Please please, no more roosters. I've been hatching roosters like crazy this year!

This Lavender of mine is 9 wks in this picture and everyone said it was a boy (except FuzzyButtsFarm and I'm still hoping they were right) so judging from that I'd definitely say yours is a boy. Mine never ever acted like a boy (and like you, that's how I can tell) .

I've got 9 Brown Red Bantam Ameraucana and 4 White in lockdown that are due to hatch Thursday. 1 was pipped this morning and another one is pipped now-I'm so excited and don't have anyone else to tell :-D
He sent me 18 eggs total and would you believe *16 out of the 18 were fertile and growing?? 3 were quitters around Day 7 but I think those are awesome numbers for shipped eggs. My temp's been right at 99.5-100 degrees so maybe they just decided it was getting cramped in the eggs and wanted out. I'm SO going to love these guys, this is the prettiest color!

Hi Folks! I have a wonderful black lavender split Ameraucana cockerel available. He is 11 months old. I live in Central Oregon but plan on making a trip to the Portland area in the next week or so, and I could bring him along if you can meet me in the Sandy-Gresham area. Please PM me with any questions and photos.
