Hi all!
I have 3 Ameraucana who are now 6 weeks old. I noticed today that one of the 3 (whom my 9 year old son has affectionately named "Rocket" after his favoritie Guardians of the Galaxy character ☺) has feathers growing on her legs and also that some of her toes turn! She's the only one out of my 19 older girls that this is happening to..is it a vitamin deficiency? Birth defect? I have attached pics of Rocket, both as a younger chick and current! I'm wondering 1.) Did the hatchery get her breed wrong? And 2.) Is there anything I can do about my girls toes turning?

Not Ameraucana. They only come in certain colors and do not have feathered feet. I would normally say Easter eggers but those don't have feathered feet generally either. Could be a light Brahma.

And Brahmas have feathered toes. Marans usually have a little leg feathering with a few stray feathers on their toes, so it isn't unusual for a Marans mix to not have any feathers on their toes. Just partial covering on their legs.
