Sweet that is super helpful. I had come across SLW before. She is only about 4 weeks old right now, so I do expect her to get quite a bit bigger. I'd be really surprised if she was a bantam

I get that, one of my pullets goes flying across the yard anytime she sees me, she's so afraid - but when I snuggle the rooster she gets jealous and runs over for hugs.She has become a bit of a skittish teenager, but still sweet.
In my experience, chicks with clean faces at birth tend to stay that way. But I have read one thread where an Araucana mix developed late muffs, so it's not impossible.Did anyone's chicks not have a fluffy chin or muffs and developed them later?
