My first blue egg you guys! I think it’s safe to say my girl is a true Ameraucana. ❤

Oops I didn’t see it when I posted. They are EE not ameraucana. Ameraucana have large muffs and beard. They have specific color. If you buy from hatchery they are not ameraucana. Ameraucana chicks are about $20 a piece. Here’s my pure ameraucana muffs and beardView attachment 2378803

Two of mine were advertised as Ameracauna but are clearly not. They are EE. The other is a Buckeye. Haven’t laid yet but the leg color isn’t right for Amer. I don’t care. Love my EEs !

I would agree that it is an EE. The list of chicks on the feed store is a good price for those chicks. If they were true ameraucana chicks they would be at least $20 each and not come from a hatchery.
I have 17 EE's, they lay blue, green and pink eggs. The color they first lay will be the color they will continue to lay. Congratulations!!

They will only lay one egg color, but they have the genetics to pass on just about any color.

Well, maybe. One of my EEs gave me these 2 color eggs. Usually they're green but every once in a while I get blue from her.

Are you sure they aren't from two different EEs?
Each one of my EEs lays a different color and shade, they ones they lay is the color they will always lay. My EEs also lay every 2 or 3 days.

Yep, I have 2 easter eggers and the other lays pink. The rest of my birds lay brown.

And my EE was a daily layer up until a week ago. No eggs in 9 days from her.

That's very interesting then. I have 16 EE hens/pullets and they all lay their own shade: blue, green, and pink. I have never heard of them having the eggs change colors before.
