23 weeks! At that rate I won't see blue eggs until October!

I would love to see pictures of yours when they start laying.

I painted the inside of my new coop blue to get them in the mood!

I'll be sure to snap some pics when I start getting eggs. All 4 are black, so they're hard to tell who is who.

Well I went out to the coop today to refill waterers, and notice a chicken nesting in the shavings. (not the nesting box) Could it be?.........maybe a blue egg coming? NOPE. The BCM girl beat the Ameraucana's to it. She is 19 1/2 weeks and the Ameraucana's are almost 23 weeks.

Yummmm, this apple tree looks tasty, think she'll notice?

Who me? I wasn't doing anything, really I'm not.

Just chilling. (I think she'll be the first to lay)

Congratulations on the beautiful egg! BCMs are on my wish list for next spring.

Your Ameraucana girls are gorgeous! I love the picture with the 2 of them looking "innocent"!

Thanks, I split an order with another BYC member and I picked the 4 of them. (they were straight run and 5 weeks old) I picked all pullets, so I'm happy! Now if they'd just get to laying!

Sprouts......Yes, they have a gorgeous green sheen to them.

Got the first blue egg today!

23 weeks and 2 days.
