I got this beauty in May. I purchased 4 straight run Amerecauna chicks in May. One of them has pale/yellow legs so I feel confident he/she isn’t an Amerecauna. Through all the research I’ve done, this one pictured looks to check all the boxes except for maybe the comb. I’m still completely inept at identifying those darn things. I actually don’t care if it’s a true Amerecauna, I’m just curious.

What traits make that obvious? I’m still very new to raising chickens. I’m gobbling up all the education I can get.
The coloring is all over the place and quite splotchy etc. and it’s got barring plus like a few other colors all mixed together. It does not appear to be any recognized color of Ameraucana. Also true Ams are usually much more expensive. Not always but a lot of the time.

When you say barring do you mean the tips of the feathers that look like they have lines on them?

Alright! That’s it. I’ll not be talked to with such ugly words! 😂 Every single time I get one that is exceptionally pretty… she’s a he!
I could be wrong but the splotchy red coloring on the wings is typically a male trait and not to mention that comb is fairly big and pink for the age. But :fl
