They are clowns for sure hahah they have a funny sense of humor haha
Question for all ya geese pros!
I have brooded my chickens and imprinted ducks in a barn no problem . Then I got these babies they are 14 days tomorrow . I had them in a brooder in my house and let them run around w me during the day ... But I can't handle the poo everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE . Anymore! Haha like WOW. Haha so I have a cage that I thought to put out side during the day - it'll get my ducks and chickens used to them too although for the 30 mins they were in it today they got som pecks from chickens idk how? Neways . Then at night I'd bring them back in or if it was colder or rainy if keep them in . They just whined and chirped and carried on non stop the whole time today ;( I felt soooo bad ... But what else should I do ? Help ? Any advice is helpful! Thanks!
You could get a hold of kukupecpec and have some waterproof diapers made for them. That way they can run around in side with you, and you can just empty and rinse out their diapy and put I back on. She is very reasonable on price. She also makes grow out ones. I already ordered some from her for these characters. I have a huge tub next to my bed that they have for bedtime. They are spoiled, just like mine, and the same age and imprinted. I also ordered some of the chicken corrals(thepanels with the PVC for the brooder lamp for them from Southern states. They are about $22.00 each, and I buy two, so as they get bigger, I can expand it. If they can see you when they are in their tub, they are happy kids. Hope this helps. Get back to me.

Thanks for your reply! I thought about diapering them... But I'd be changing them every 5 seconds! Haha there's got to be another way ... My ducks imprinted on me and I saw them 2 x a day for 2 hrs a day each time these geese FREAK. Out if I walk more than 10 feet away from them ... Is there a cry it out method for geese ? Lol? I feel so bad ! I love them I just can't handle the poo! So they gotta go outside ASAP!

the cry it out thing would be just like we have had t do with our own kids. Geese imprint a lot stronger than ducks do.

They do ? Well no wonder they are such cry babies! It's seriously heartbreaking . But I did the cry it out w my boys so Ill just have to toughen up and do it w them haha they will Learn tho right ? That it's ok to be outside ... I mean this isn't going to traumatize them and make them grow up to be mean or kill em from shock or something will it? .. Idk how the chickens got the few pecks in the cage is wrapped and rewrapped in wire but I suspect it's a pecking order thing .. Idk .? I just need a solution that's clean for me and safe for them ...

Pretty babies, Christine! Is that a Lav on the bottom?
I have two Buff babies from Aurora Springs that are from Cream and Blue parents, and three Blue and one Lavender I got from my friend Laurie in Maine. They are spoiled rotten, and follow me everywhere. All of my Americans and Poms do that though. We raised them all from little bitty guys.

I think I might want a Buff pair next spring.

So are all the colors (Buff, cream, blue, etc) possible from your Buffs? I don't know how the Buff gene works. I need to do some color genetics research.

I'm really enjoying my goslings. They are so full of personality! The Sebs are a little snugglier than the Americans, but they are all so friendly.
