ok so i just messaged the breeder and she said they aren't REAL sisters - i didn't know that :(

- one is a BUFF ( has a buff mother and father ) the other " Lucy" is a mix of Buff & Toulouse .-( buff mother and buff/ toulouse mix father ) ..... so mystery solved there ! but im kinda upset i didnt know this but o well

That is why I ask if she had other breeds because they sure did not look alike. When you look at different goslings you can see differences in their type even as hatchlings. The longer you are in breeding and look on here at BYC and study the type on different goslings on here you can see it better. Even to you your eyes caught the differences. Good for you.

Sounds like a nice mix of the 2 though.

Unless you were planning on breeding that should not be a problem. Cross breeds are pretty too!



thank you . ya no i just wanted 2 girls for enjoyment and addition to my flock - no ganders,drakes or roosters here! - or so i had hoped! haha but now that i now its a mixed breed issue and not a gender mix up issue ( prolly) haha i feel better .... i knew something was up! haha thank you all!
 
Gosh have they grown, I love their coloring too.

They are huge now! Almost the size of my pekins in width and my pekins are 14ish weeks? I lost count lol . Lucy is 3.5 lbs and lady is just now 3 lbs. they are becoming more independent too! They'll be 4 weeks in a couple days.
