The buff girl with the dewlap in there is going to get much bigger than the American buff female. But at least they are both females.

I have 2 Buff Sebastopol female goslings and am so tickled to have them!!! I have tried for 5 years to get into Buff Saddleback female Sebastopol's. I bought one from a Big breeder and she died two months after I purchased her. Then bought a solid Buff smooth breasted female. She had a terrible need to chew everything in her path. She went into a different pen here and started chewing on the wire and electricuted herself.

MY husband had put the water bucket into a pan but water had went down into the pan and hit the heating coil and caused her death. But if she had not chewed on that wire she would still be with us.

She can't take a step w/o somethin being in her mouth! Haha we keep a good eye on them now but it does worry me if she won't grow out of that?

My goose who was 1 yr in April chewed on some of our bushes this past winter, If you have anything like young fruit tress etc you might want to put fencing around them to protect them, But geese love to chew, you'd think they were cutting teeth.

Mine got ahold of my baby pink weeping crabapple tree and chewed the trunk so it died. We had a fence around it and for some stupid reason my husband took it up. Boy the geese ran to it to have tender bark!!!

I waited 5 years to buy that kind of tree. I have NO idea why he took the fence away?????

It's so true RURU the other day we had to stake our young peach tree because it's getting so heavy with fruit, The fencing I had around it was way to tall so dh says we don't need to put it back, I just cut it down some and put it right back around the tree, I know those bills would be gnawing on that tree come winter. Sorry you lost your weeping crab apple, I love crab apple trees. and yes mine has fencing around it.

My ducks and chickens have never ventured beyond the sides of the house - they always say in the backyard . I never cared if they did go out front but they just never have . Buuuut! Torn up fruit and willow trees will be an issue!! Wtheck! Maybe they will just stay w the others haha
