Nope! There is no expectation of actual fire with a microwave. Hot dogs are not fake either. They may not be select cuts but neither is a beaver tail. :gig

Hmmm... I’m not that much older than you, but I do remember life before the microwave was in every house hold... if we wanted stuff hot we either lit the stove or waited till summer ... so I still contend that the microwave if fake fire ;)

As for hot dogs... I am not a picky eater... but I only like a hot dog about once a year... it’s often at a baseball game, costs 12 times what a hot dog should, and is covered in condiments from 6 continents, but it’s soooo damned good...

but in any case I don’t think a hot dog can be considered ‘real’ meat... I barely consider beef from the store ‘real’ meat though, so I might be biased ;)

I like hot dogs. . but not microwaved. :sick
You gotta hold them over a fire till they are good and burnt.
Sometimes I put them on a fork and burn them over the gas stove flame. :gig

You’re doing hotdogs wrong...

There must be overpaid athletes and paid parking involved in order to get a proper dog ;)

I think I was at least 10 before we had a microwave.
I also remember having to renting a vcr to rent a movie from the gas station. :gig

The gas station VHS days is why I saw Josey Wales 8 times between age 10 and 11 ... my dad would always fall asleep and miss the end then rent it again a few weeks later...

Its also why I know there was a dirty version of Cinderella...

someone put the adult version in the kids section and my dad rented it for my little sister... we all got an education on family movie night that evening

Blah ha ha ha! Some things you can just never unsee. :lau:lau

Once at a friends house we were gonna watch lion king. . (for like the 100th time)
Thought it was still in the vcr where we left off the day before.
SURPRISE . .someone had decided to watch different movie. . about a lady named Debbie.
Doing something in Dallas.
But I think it did have something to do with the circle of life.

If I gotta pay to park I ain’t going. When it comes to baseball well I used to love it collected cards and all. After the strike in 1996 I think I didn’t give a sh*t anymore. I haven’t been to a game since I don’t think. Maybe one or two.
I’m not a big spectator sports fan and haven’t watched a game in many years. I’ll watch hockey sometimes.

Yeah I don’t think we had a microwave when I was real little.
I’m not really a hipster foodie and don’t get too excited over eating though. Most nights I eat eggs.
