He wanted to drag her that went over well.

Ha! Just remind him of that when he’s bigger and you’ll be set.

When I was about 16 I took a big doe in a deep steep holler and I tied a rope to the hind legs and started dragging it out, but I wore out quickly and had to go get my dad... when we got back to her he looked around and then told me two things:

1) drag from the front not the back, so the weight slips along smoothly on the hair, and the hair is not ruffing up and creating resistance the whole way
2) Find a flatter place to take does

Lol, he used to remind me about making him drag a deer “up the side of the mountain” years later

I’ve dragged deer a long ways before. This one doe I dragged down a fire cut for over a mile. Half the hair was missing on the ground side by the time I got it to the truck. Seemed like a good decision at the time. Not so much about half way through.
