My son is only 7. He’ll be 8 in March and can’t hunt til he’s 10 so he’s got some time. He’s still pretty little and no way he’s ready to handle a 20 guage.
He’s funny though I made a few comments about a guy setting up close. He tells me to go make him move.
He’s also an expert duck flarer. As of on cue he starts moving around when a duck is approaching from the side.

Had a guy show up 2 hrs after sunrise and set up between me and a flock of geese sitting on the water. I never made so much noise picking up decoys in my life. My son was laughing his *ss off. I was picking up goose decoys and slamming them into the water so loud I broke off two weights. Lol
I may have yelled a few obscenities too.

got a few more duck hunts left before the season runs out and I switch over to strictly geese. I’m gonna give some old decoys a proper burial at sea and double check how well these Kent BBs pattern.

man, I always wanted ticked beagles... I remember reading/seeing pics in magazines of blue or red ticked rabbit hounds and thinking they were the cats meow...

i had lemon beagle once that was such an eye catcher that someone was kind enough to steal him ... other than that it’s pretty much all run of the mill tri-color Snoopy dogs here

beagles and kids are a good combination, hard to beat

Growing up we had the black an tan type and were decent dogs with purpose. I love a 13inch beagle and on a trail they sound awesome nothing like them. I don't know much about these guys back ground, I know they were not cheap when previous folks bought em. They wanna run noses are always down unless ya break em they just run into the fence first. I'm hoping they soon realize to stop hitting it, but hard to do when their heads are in the ground. The girl seems to be more cautious of the fence faster than the male, but they both are learning. I like em I just don't know if it's a good fit or not just yet I've got plenty on my plate, but they are great with the youngns and love attention.

Nothing backwoods about slapping some dumb*ss in the mouth with the stock end of the shotgun.
It’s a free for all. Guy pulled up as I was loading the canoe into the water a little ways off from me. He tried to beat me to the middle of the the marsh. “Nope sorry b**ch I can paddle faster than you”
It’s like the Wild West in some areas.

The male is a fine looking little guy he's my favorite. When he's at attention he's got something to him especially when he's got that one leg half way up and that tail straight real fine looking dogs. Beagles always in my mind have that ol fashion nostalgic look to em.
