Looks like a good time though atleast they ain’t no trees around lol.
They really are as much as I hate to admit it. Those little roosters are pretty tough....in their own minds. The wife had a few silkies years back wish I’d known how valuable they are to gamefowl!
But seriously seemed to be some pretty tough little fluff balls as far as chickens go.
. True but in some spots there’s a drop off down toward the water so you have to still pay attention to your back cast or you’ll drag the sand behind you. Nothing tears up the pretty painted eyes and dulls a hook point like raking the fly along the sand. Plus even more important you gotta watch out for the occasional idiot that likes to take pictures of someone using a fly rod. They stand right behind me and don’t realize there’s a 1/0 hook whizzing by their eyeballs.

Eh I don’t really care if they record me or not. Watching someone cast a fly rod is kinda mesmerizing. I’ll sit and watch other people sometimes too. I just have enough sense not to get in the way of the hook point. LolWell now ya should have asked them for some money for taken pictures haha sounds a bit idiotic to take some random guys picture... unless they asked?
I’d bet sand does dull the hooks pretty fast. When them picture folks catch a hook to the face they may rethink on their decisions a bit more next time lmao.

Truthfully they probably can’t even see the line with water as a backdrop and have no idea just how much line is out waving around in the air.
