I was wrong. There are at least NINE babies....

We did section off a 10ft x 3ft portion of the Silkie run and made a temporary coop with the nesting box tub and tarps to provide shade and protection from the elements. None of the other chickens can get to her but they can be introduced through the fence so I can mingle them eventually.

Welp. It ain't too pretty, I guess it's reality right? Here's what's going on in my little corner of the world.
Ira got whomped on a few days ago by another hen, thankfully her chicks had not hatched yet. She's happy about the chicks...honest, I promise. Ira always looks angry broody or not.
