American Gamefowl

Yea I'm really looking forward to these guys. when the guy first told me he also had Pumpkins my initial reaction was ehh. But after seeing them in person they may be the one I'm most excited about.
Well, I hope they all hatch!

I know you said you used to be on the old thread, but I don't recognize your name.
What birds do you currently have?

Due to health reasons I don't have fowl any more
However I do travel around to friends from long ago that have fowl and chit chat.I also share my options with younger people that are doing their best to keep gamefowl alive and not a dieing breed.A feller I let obtain my fowl got health issues also sold them to a feller in the philippines.Thats one happy feller.cheers

Best black fowl I seen were a toss up.John norris Barnes got some black Canadian muggs in the 60 s he was from NC And a feller named Otis Goad from Va. Had straight combed look like coal sack sids I have no clue what ever happened to the fowl JNB died in the late 70 s. Goad died also last I heard his son carries his legacy. If his son like Otis was they not for sale. However things have changed now who knows cheers

Just want you folks to know how much I enjoy this thread having raised a few American games in my youth in the 1970's. I appreciate all your efforts in keeping them relevant. The photos of the beautiful birds at the recent show made me want to get some again. But alas my neighbors already complain about the crowing my 10 OEGB's do. :D

I had to start a new account because its been so long and I used a different email that I also dont remember the info too. But yea I believe the name was still Mc.chicken maybe without the numbers.

I've had sid taylors for the majority of the time I've owned games. had some whitehackle about 10 years ago. they where my first games.

I live in kind of a urban area so unfortunately i have to keep the rooster numbers down, so that limits the amount of different breeds I can have.

Yeah he’s a leiper/black cross. That’s a male red fox that decided to set up shop and hunt my chickens.

He’s just lost most of his winter coat so he’s missing most of his guard fur. Same fox in November would be a lot darker colored.
