Yeah I figure most heads are gonna be ok as long as it stays tight. I’m sure if you look hard enough you’ll find broken handles and loose heads from all of them sooner or later.
I don’t have a Granfors but I was thinking about the actual small carving hatchets. The problem is I don’t really need it. I can do what I need to with a $20 fiskars Hatchet. It’s one of those things you don’t know how bad you need it til you try one. Lol

The head fit on the handle is what I meant... I’ve got a an old Vaughn hammer that is still tight as ever, and my buddy has some old bluegrass hammers that are worth admiring for the fit... probably just my pet peeve but I hate any give there

Santa brought me the gansfors ... but I know where he shops ... so I happen to know he got a bargain on it ... but it was still a bit of a splurge

He's a little late on pumpkins but hey he can now chop his on tree Christmas tree down and trim the point of the tree now without using a knife.

But I thought maybe he was making a sittin stump like this

Nah havocs a good dude we both give each other down the road mostly joking. He's helped me and got me into trapping and fly fishing along the way and that's something I can hand on down to my youngns. I figure he'd help me in anyway he could and I'd do the same in return. Neither one of us are what you'd call crap takers though so we have butted heads quite a few times doesn't mean he's not a good fella pretty hard to come by decent folks these days.
