That's what I said too. .
I haven't quit harassing him yet. :gig
But I'm certain this time wasn't intentional. .that poor little S 10 has been through hell. it ain't gonna tackle too many more deer before it falls apart.:lau

Don’t tell him I said so, but I think the regulations on your boy’s situation are out of touch with the MDCs own technology...

...meaning I think as long as he had a valid any deer permit in pocket, he should be able to shoot first and buy another anterless tag with his phone, since that’s the system they have in place...

... as long as he doesn’t transport it before purchasing and tagging it, I think that should be okay...

...but I doubt they’ll change that anytime soon.... with all of that said, I’d be fine if the took away the phone stuff and went back to driving them to checkin stations too ... so I don’t feel strongly about if either way

There was a great video on YouTube of a couple guys long bow hunting grouse in Canada. It was like an hour long. Man it looked like so much fun up there. Just gotta bring plenty of arrows.

I’d just about go back to CO and just do a week of that and hand lining for brookie’s ... although I only got into grouse the one day... but I wasn’t looking for them either... a lot easier to backpack out than an elk too, lol

Yeah Idaho is a doable option. Since I’ve done it fishing. Just flew in and camped and fished all over. Toting a bow wouldn’t be too much trouble. As long as you didn’t get too high in elevation where you need more cold weather gear.
