You’re neighbor willOne of my Easter Eggers clucks for 2 minutes after laying an egg and she is really loud. My game hen will yell when she wants to be let out. I don’t mind chicken noises.

Speak for yourself! No one says hey let's go have a blast killing something and if they do they are bat View attachment 1835188
Crazy. But if you want to get anywhere and keep things under control it's gotta happen.
By that he means possibly 1 other girlfriend.![]()
Speak for yourself!
That leads to taking terribly bred red stars to the vet for all kinds of crazy issues. Hardly any of it is preventable because they’re so screwed up to begin with. They’re machines and not pets. The people spoke and that’s what the majority wanted. If you don’t want it don’t keep treating and breeding birds that get the sniffles from 2 raindrops.Yes that is true I did treat my flock for a respiratory infection. Yes maybe I should have culled them, but unfortunately I had just spent a pretty penny on them and didn’t want to just up and kill them a week into owning them. A friend sent me the number of their vet and I called him and he told me how to treat them. Maybe I don’t have the balls to actually cull a bird yet, but if quality of life isn’t what it should be I am all for humanely culling the bird.
Deal a swift kick to the pisser it is.You owe me royalties for that avatar. You’re welcome.
I do see your point and these birds are for eggs so they won’t be used for breeding. That being said they are doing really well thank God.That leads to taking terribly bred red stars to the vet for all kinds of crazy issues. I guess I’m just a bit soft when it comes to culling. No one says hey let's go have a blast killing something and if they do they are bat View attachment 1835188

Sucks for them because I can have as many pullets and hens as I want and they can’t do a darn thing. You’re neighbor will![]()
Neither was I.I wasn't talking about hunting or trapping. Just culling what needs it.
You can’t make money off of poultry unless you factory farm.Neither was I.Nah culling birds isn’t the easiest thing to do at all. I still refuse to give away or sell anything I wouldn’t want. I see it all the time on BYC. Doesn’t matter what kind of bird it is really. “I sell my culls” really? So these people are just peddling absolute junk? I don’t get it. This silkie doesn’t make the cut so I’ll sell it off? Just doesn’t make sense to me. I think people try too hard to make money off chickens instead of actually enjoying them as a hobby.
Wait are you saying I can’t buy some birds from Greenfire Farms, breed them to death and sell at a reduced rate and make a killing with the latest fad chicken? You can’t make money off of poultry unless you factory farm.
