I had a few crows taking eggs when I would leave them on top of the pens and forget about them. I didn’t mind though since they chase off the hawks.

If a raccoon can get to the nest it’s probably that. Most times they’d rather have the eggs especially if they can get the chicken/duck to get up. During the day though seems a little strange but I have seen with my own eyes a raccoon during broad daylight trying to get a guinea hen off her eggs. She wouldn’t budge and was screaming. The raccoon kept pawing at her and wouldn’t leave even when I showed up with a gun. She was on the edge of the woods though.

Ugh. Ok. I'm afraid when the eggs are gone the ducks might be toast.

Is it possible that maybe a crow is stealing the eggs?

Well. . I've never seen a crow here but not impossible.
I'm in town. . but still have opossum, raccoon, fox. .squirrel .. Skunk..
My live traps are loaned out at the moment.

Still on the hen trip I see. Why don't you just go buy one off him and offer him something worthwhile don't disrespect the man.

Just a FYI the usual DMM pullet or hen is around $350 shipped give or take if the birds are worth a dang which Havoc's are then be respectful. Like I've said I've bought good birds and I have had on par or better given to me as well, but you've got to start somewhere remember respect is earned not given.

They are inside the ducks house. Not visible from above. . but if they found it once they might come back.
I don't have a very predator proof pen for the big ducks

It's the man behind the birds that count it's not cheap or easy to produce quality birds if it was everyone would do it and if ya think that's expensive the price only goes up depending on the man behind the birds.

Havoc has quality his blacks are a sight but he's not trying to make a living but being cheap gets ya little to nowhere is all I'm saying.

I don’t know that much about ducks. I did have two hens sitting pretty close and the Pekin kept trying to steal the khaki Campbell’s eggs. You don’t think it could be another duck? You don’t have any chickens right?
I would say raccoon or possum. The DP traps you’ve probably heard about work pretty good and are cheaper than cages. I’m not sure if you can discharge a firearm but Lowe’s or Home Depot sell axe handles that work great for about $15.

No chickens here.
It could be another duck. . but I would be surprised. Got the game cam set up so hopefully I will see something and figure out what to set a trap for.

Gotta a lot to factor in cost of pens, up keep, feed, fence, traps if you plan to even try to range I mean the list could make a short book. And a mans time surely isn't cheap nor is a mans word if it is best to walk away. I'm not trying to be hard on ya brahma I've spent good money on junk I truly have it is hard to find honesty these days, but if ya find it your best bets to have that handy.
