So do you vent the bottom of the can to let it breath?

Nope. Just fill it with charcoal and soaked paper towels. Once I’m set up I take the lid off and light it up. Last for 5-6 hrs of heat. You don’t want it hot for cooking although it well get hot enough eventually anyway. I only do it once it get brutally cold. On those days Ill bring a thermos of coffee and a couple fine cigars too. Ya know for the slow times which is most of the time.

I read that coffee can heater tip in a delta waterfowl magazine quite a few years ago I think. Man it works great too. Ain’t much wood to burn in the marsh so it’s perfect.

Just go buy metal paint cans at lowes or anywhere that mixes any type of paint.

That’s not a bad idea but I doubt I’m gonna go to his school to ask the lunch lady for her cans.
I use them for a heater/hand warmer while duck hunting. I usually use regular charcoal briquettes and soak pieces of paper towel in lighter fluid in layers. Throw the lid on it and toss it in the canoe. I make a bed of wet grass on the bottom of the canoe to put it on and fire it up. Doesn’t smoke much and works great to keep hands warm. I’m not sure any brands come in an actual can anymore though.

They are really thin if there is any metal in them at all.

10 bucks is not going to get you many cans of Hagen after the chilli LOL

I watch all kinds of stuff on youtube. This girl makes crafts, so sometimes I watch/listen at her. Anyway, she did a tour of a friend's home (the narration stinks). MY GOODNESS. Over the top and then some LOL

Plus I bought 24 barrels and a ibc tote for $100 I despise blue tarps and barrels and about 10 of them are blue. I posted 12 of em forsale for $100... a young guy in a taco came and only wanted one I tried to give it to him since he actually came and he gave me $10 lol.
