Yeah I’m just gonna let her keep laying. I pulled him out today he’s been in with her the last 5 days figured that was good enough. Hopefully she goes broody I guess we shall see.

You can always put them back together every few days before she sets. Anything you can do to give her more quiet and privacy from other birds screwing with her you’ll be better off.

Yeah exactly what I've done with a few and move some of them at night aswell.

Yeah I’m gonna put him in about every 2-3 days leave him in for a day and take him back out. He’s not really hard on her except when you first put him in with her he’ll chase her around a few mins and he’s back to scratching

I understand that it’s hard to pay big money for a bird but once you get into it it’s addicting

Considering that I only paid $10 for my current rooster over 100 is quite a jump.

Yeah I started out with a free Rhode Island Red now have two game roosters and a hen and I’m sure I’ll be adding more roosters it gets expensive but it’s worth it in my opinion

Do what your gonna do but I'd say the chances are slim but hey ya might get lucky.

You from NC? Theirs tons of birds in NC,Sc and the tri cites I'm sure someone is honest just gotta weed through the others.

Look at their pictures and how the birds are kept that'll make it a little easier to weed through.

I don't want to buy a $100+ rooster and at the end not like the results of the hens and rooster.

That can happen with any rooster be it free only 1500

I agree with that but I don't have any issues and I move pens even while the hen is setting

I move hens around while they’re in the nest all the time. I’m talking about trying to get them to set. A hen setting in a pen surrounded by 100 other roosters isn’t the best approach. I’ve had plenty set like that but I’ll get them to set a lot faster if I move them to a quieter pen on the other side of the yard.
