I can’t tell but I’d advise you against using shavings outside. They get wet, mushy and moldy faster than straw and doesn’t dry as quickly.
I use shaving inside my coops but straw in everything else especially if it’s expose to any kind of weather.

Yeah I shouldn’t have put it in there it’s under roof and doesn’t get wet inside but it does draw dampness I’m gonna get it out today especially bc you can’t keep the water clean she kicks it everywhere.

The hen is throwing the chipmunk. The others will be lighter like a pumpkin. Maybe a little darker since the hen is something else.

Yeah I’m not sure what a pumpkin kelso cross will look like guess we will see in a few months

Hello,its me again with another question,does anybody know if roosters that are black with yellow gold stripes running down their necks have a nickname?for example,the roosters that are mixed colors are "spangled",I honestly don't know if this makes sense but I'm trying not to sound like a clueless person to a gamefowl breeder,I want to see if he has some of this black golden stripe roosters for sale but don't know if they have a name,I will try to search up a picture of one of this roosters,If it helps.(found a picture off of google)similar to this one but with the gold feather in its neck too.

Just to add Albany will also throw brass back from time to time so that may also be an option for ya if you are concerned with that particular color. It May help expand the search.

After all the rain this spring..I am learning I like straw in the run a lot better.
IF I can ever find straw.
