I bet that was fun on a fly rod

Yeah it’s a lot of fun man. Can be frustrating though. I usually use a 10wt fly rod on the beach which is pretty big but allows me to cast further past the breaking waves...if my shoulder doesn’t turn to mush. An 8wt which is 2 sizes smaller would be more applicable for fish that size...but there’s always a chance at a giant so I usually just stick with the bigger rod. Tons of sea weed stirred up though from offshore storms so it was kinda annoying cleaning off my line. I didn’t fish much at all.
