Yes they do fly not as well as thinner birds but if you give them enough room they will get stronger at flying. My homers have flown up on top of my coop.

I currently have 11 breeding pairs and 6 young ones, They are really a unique breed of pigeon. I do not show them only raise them for the hobby but most of my original pairs came from Top show breeders.
I've been interested in getting piqeons for a while, and am trying to get a breed that can be used for as many things as possible. Is there a pure white variety of the American Giant Homer pigeon? Can somebody get a picture of one of these homers with a chicken next to it? And Hoss1975, where did you get that profile pic? I need to make that my desktop!
