That was WAY over the top. Gaga stands for GAG ME anyway. Why does someone with such a voice have to be so darn trashy and um, well, to risk being drummed out of the thread, low class. Talented as far as voice, yeah, but a freak and with no boundaries at all. I just wish I could quit seeing her everywhere.

Not at all appropriate for that show that all the kids were watching. I can't believe they didn't censor her act for that show or at least ask her to tone it down. I'm getting weary of garbage like that being on tv. It's why I quit closely following much television anymore, including AI. I just barely watched it "around the edges" this year.


Both those kids are awesome. There wasn't a bad choice for top spot and they both have wonderful careers ahead of them. Happy for them both.

I thought the performances of the contestants last night were horrendous, save for James and Judas Priest, and I did enjoy Casey and Jack Black's performance - you sure could tell those 2 were having fun. As far as the other "performances", let me just say that I am no prude, but I didn't realize that I was watching a Porn movie instead of a talent competition until Lady Gaga did her bit. And J Lo's shaking and gyrating any possible body part was not a lot better. I'm just sooooooooooo sick of seeing half-naked women all over TV - that is why I love "Deadliest Catch" No naked women - only crabs !!!

After hearing the sappy songs that they picked for Lauren and Scotty's singles if they won, I am very happy that Casey, James and Haley got the boot and didn't win. I can't imagine any of those 3 having to sing those crappy, sappy songs. Hopefully they will have more creative license since they didn't win.

Anyway - CONGRATS to Scotty and Lauren on a job well done !!

Speckledhen, I also agree with you. I never liked Lady Gaga and I do not at all think she's appropriate enough for American Idol.​

You think with two sweet, innocent country singers in the finale, they would have had some DECENT performers entertain instead of the trash they had. I'm sure Lauren and Scotty were not happy with those performers. But they probably didn't have a say. Those performers were probably booked waaay in advance. AI, WAKE UP!!! America doesn't like to see that trash!!!!

At least most of it doesn't.

Another comment about Lauren and Scotty---They are both Christians and not afraid, OR ASHAMED, to tell the world THEY LOVE JESUS!!!!

There is hope for the younger generation after we baby boomers messed it up JMHO
