Hi All

I have a American Leopard Hound x French Mastiff( Dogue de Bordeaux ) pup. His mom is a UKC register American Leopard Hound and his father is a UKC register French Mastiff ( Dogue de Bordeaux ). I am thinking of trying to make a hog hunting dog out of him. I will post pictures of him as soon as I can.

The more I think about it I may just keep him as a pet. My brother wants to get into hog hunting so I may just use Bruno here to cross with some of his hounds and hunt with them.

That's an interesting cross! Have you crossed the breeds before? Should be a good dog with lots of nose and grit!

This is the first pup I have ever seen of a American Leopard Hound x French Mastiff cross. His mom is a UKC register American Leopard Hound and his father is a UKC register French Mastiff ( Dogue de Bordeaux ).

Here are the only pictures I have of the parents of Bruno. Sorry for such bad pictures but they are the only pictures I have of them and they are off my cell phone.

Will probably end up being too big bodied for hog hunting. We use curs, catahoulas and such for bay dogs and pits for catch dogs in Fla. Lean and mean and quick thru the palmettos but you never know ,it could end up being a good catch dog.
