Well Zero has been a little turd yesterday. He slept with his new friends and cuddled all morning, then in the afternoon the white serama started a little chest bumping with Zero. After this Zero got really grouchy and kept pecking her on the head. I was really worried at first, but I am not sure he actually was making contact. Today, they seem to be back to normal. I hope that is it. So far we haven't had any chicken arguments, everyone just all gets along, all shapes, sizes and ages!

I posted this a week ago in the Breeds, Genetics and Showing forum but got no replies. I thought I'd try here next.
One of my serama chicks is much smaller than the others. The chicks pictured are approximatly the same age (3 1/2 weeks). All of the little ones are active and healthy, yet this one shows feather development and size typical of a 1 1/2 week old serama. It's back is also extremely short compared to the others, something I noticed the first time I handled it after hatch. One of it's siblings is pictured for comparison purposes. I suspect the little chick is what some call a "Mini" or Class AA serama, but I wanted to double check with people who've raised AA's before. Thanks.

So sorry you didn't get any help from the other thread. WHOA, it sure is smaller, he/she is going to be a micro serama [ just a genetic thing that happens sometimes]. Not to worry, just keep an eye on the little stinker that he doesn't picked on or shoved away from the food. Depending on what sex fuzzy turns into, you MIGHT have problems with fertility or egg laying, but other than that fuzzy will be a very special serama.....Enjoy your surprize! :love

P.S. I see sibling has a big mouth...hee hee

Thanks for your help! Like I said, no issues with the little guy so far...some pasting up in the first couple of weeks but nothing serious. I'm so surprised to have a micro/mini/AA/whatever you want to call it (I've heard all of them lol!) in my first clutch of seramas!
