American serama thread!

Today I attempted to soak my seramas shanks and they definitely did not like it. The water was only up a little bit past their legs and they were climbing on top of each other trying to get out. Had I not been there I think some would have drowned. The one was not even trying it was just laying there. He had to be held up so He didn't just flop under the water. These birds are such little characters.

SCNA is the only Seramas club that is reconize BY ABA and APA cause it's been a club for more then 10 years... They only have True Whites at this time for ABA or APA show and SCNA is now working on other color which other clubs can't haha .

I think the above statement is incorrect.

Here's a quote straight from the American Serama Assoc website:

The American Serama Association is a national independent breed club with Sanctioning Authority for Table Top showing of the American Serama and a points program designed to recognize breeders of merit. We are not affiliated with any other Serama breed club. The ASA takes great pride in our ability to promote the American Serama in all it's varieties. The ASA has achieved recognition in the poultry world as the authority on the American Serama and the” Bantam Standard” as accepted by the American Bantam Association and the American Poultry Association “Standard of Perfection”. We are members of both of the ABA and APA and will continue to work towards bettering the breed, developing recognized colors and working to include these varieties in the standards of both associations.

Our relationship with both the ABA and APA poultry associations in this country allows us to maintain a well respected view on the breeding and showing of the American Serama.
