OMG OMG!! I am sooo happy!!! Some of you may remember me posting about the pullet with gray eyes and a small pupil???? I haven't really caught her up and looked at her for a while, so did so just a few minutes ago. HER EYES ARE NORMAL NOW!!!!! Normal size pupil and orangish iris. I'm SOOO stinkin happy that she indeed does NOT have Mareks, and that I did not cull her. She is def. a class C bird, even without weighing her, but since I already have her I can see what kind of chicks she throws anyway. I can also now go about getting some new birds! YAY!

ChickenGuy! Handsome birds you have!

Yes, it was REALLY stressing me out! I couldn't bring myself to cull her, but then worried that I had exposed and was continuing to expose the others to something potentially lethal and just didn't know what to do. Soooooo glad I didn't go ahead and find someone to cull her for me! I feel so much better!

This is from Jerry's website:

COCKS HENS
Micro - under 9 ounces Micro - under 8 ounces
A - 9.1 to 13 ounces A - 8.1 to 12 ounces
B - 13.1 to 16 ounces B - 12.1 to 15 ounces
C - 16.1 to 19 ounces C - 15.1 to 17 ounces
D - over 19.1 ounces D - over 17.1 ounces

I'm not sure how old they should be before showing them in a certain class..........I haven't shown any yet, but would like to. The sizes given are for full size birds.
