Can't wait to see her when she gets all her color!

3 weeks ago she had a lot of brown.
She's the sweetest thing. When I let them out, she comes over to my chair to get picked up.

I do silver/blues also, and have some that look very similar to yours. Due to the barring on the wings, I'm thinking that your baby is actually a silver partridge. I'm working to correct leg color....I get some good yellow ones, some still willow...I find that the more silver the bird is, the more likely the legs are to be willow...I have some others that I believe to be blue...I have the same problem, but the legs are blue...Some coming yellow in about 2 generations. Work in progress.

Thank you...I am about 3-4 generations into some new colors (colors may not be new, but new for me anyway). Things are beginning to come together, and I'm waiting for juveniles to mature a little before I update my website. I think I am just 1 or 2 generations away from something pretty good.

Yes, you're right. Her legs are willow.

Oddly, her Mother's legs are yellow. Must be because she's a darker blue?

No not because she is darker...I have darker ones with yellow legs. It has to do with the elelles (sp?) I'm at work...my quitting time, will have to pick this up tomarrow.

Could be a long discussion.

I'll have to wait and see how this stupid rooster ordinance in San Diego County works out before I know if I'll be able to get a cockerel too.

You just haven't lived until you've been owned by a Silkied Serama...I'm not allowed to have ANY chickens where I live or where I work...I don't see any chickens here!!! WHAT CHICKENS? I just keep mine inside. Not ideal, but it works.
