Your cockbird is f/f, and your hen is F/f or F/F. Probably F/f. The male will give f to each offspring, because that's all he has. The hen will pass on F and f fairly equally. Your chicks will be F/f and f/f. It only takes one F to be frizzled, so half your chicks' feathers should start to curl within a week of hatch. They cannot hide the gene to show up in later generations like they can with recessive genes; if they have it, they show it.I have a genetics question.
If I breed a non frizzled rooster to frizzled hens will I get frizzled in the first generation?
