American serama thread!

I have no idea about the color (too much a newbie) but I have seen chicks doing the "pose"

She is trying to balance on your hand of course so ... Maybe see if she stands straighter if you put her on a table and rub her belly? LOL??

Cold morning today! I woke up to my 'bator being 97 degrees! I've put a blanket on it now, and am hoping no damage was done :( I have other eggs in another bator that were down to 95, and heard peeps, today is hatch day. The humidity is low (53%) but I dare not open to add water since it's so cold.) Both incubators now have a blanket on top of them, hope that helps!

Ugh, my regular mailman isn't here today, and his replacement didn't get the message to hold my package. I just spent 2 trips to the post office and an hour driving around the neighborhood to find the mailman and get a hold of my eggs! Unfortunately, I didn't find him and gave up. At least it's cool today, I just want to avoid day long jostling in the mail truck. These Serama eggs are so darn sensitive, but alas, no go.

At some point today, they should show up though, and hopefully not too worse for ware

I gotta dumb question: why to you HAVE to have offspring from them. If they enjoy eachothers company, thats enough right there..just saying................

Well I agree with you and thats why I got her. She is so pretty, I love the self blues coloring. I dont have to hatch their offspring but I thought eventually it might be cool to see what they hatch. Only if she goes broody though. I dont prefer to put mixed eggs in the incubator due to getting them mixed up with full blooded eggs.

I personally dont see the problem on why they can be together. The lady I talked to said it wouldnt be smart on my part to breed them due to them being two different breeds. But this lady also ONLY has purebreds.

Hope you find your eggs. I know when I ordered eggs I swore I would never do it again. This was before hatch day came and went and I still didnt have any chicks! I was soooo upset....

You will have better luck then me! I just know it!

Our neighborhood is a maze, it's so easy to miss a moving target over and over again. He'll be here in a few hours, I'm sure, and it's cool outside today. Though I didn't want them in the truck, with all the stopping and going, I figured a few more hours probably won't make a difference unless something bad happens, god forbid!

Well darn it, I want some booted, LOL. At least I want to see pictures!

I love these guys that I'm getting, but I'm still waiting for her to decide if she's parting with them.

They are Laura's, which I think you said is where your eggs are coming from.

Going to a big show this weekend and dropping off a rabbit hutch and a quad of SQ dominiques and picking up my new Seramas! Which we have decided will be the two pairs I had pictured before as well as 6 chicks. 3 are frizzled,3 are smooth, and one is a chocolate pullet! Some I think are even fromt he pair I really wanted, but didn't get!

So excited!!!!

I feel good about these! Can't wait for hatching day!!!

She decided not to sell. I'm super duper bummed out about that!

really wish she hadn't even said anything about them, so then I wouldn't have had to see them, fall in love with them, then lose them.

But, oh well, I guess.
