Ok, I still have them in there. I'm always ripe with hope, LOL. Maybe another one will show it'self to be developing???I never throw any egg out until at least day 10. If I definitely know it's bad then yes, it does get tossed.
One of my serama hens that these new chicks are from is sick...i gave her a 7 day treatment of Duramycin...but she still has this sneezing weird high pitched cough sound every few seconds...i treated her for gapeworms couple months back...but im not sure the dosage was correct and i dont think she got enough...could she still have gapeworm? she is eating and drinking fine and her stool is normal....just dont know what else can be done?
Wow, mine were small, but not so tiny! So adorable!

Quote: I just finished a 7 day treatment with Duramycin...no change...so I put two drops of ivomec on the back of her neck at lunch...thinking it might be gapeworm that came back...I really dont know what else i can do.
That "black spot" could be the eye! i would not be in a hurry to throw anything out. Good luck!one has a black spot, which means bacteria, so it will be tossed, but others won't ... yet.
I love those pics!!!!
Nah, that one really wasn't right, looked like it was a runny yolk and there was stuff floating in there, all wrong, seriouslyThat "black spot" could be the eye! i would not be in a hurry to throw anything out. Good luck!
Gorgeous pictures, I think Berry might be black? Or dark chocolate (not sure due to lighting?) My Sirius Black looked a lot like that, he's black with gold edging on his hackle feathers (only 5 weeks old)
They're beautiful!Just wanted to share a few pics of this years silky girls. They are also split for frizzle, they have a brother that is a silky frizzle just like momma!!
She jumped the flash on this one!!![]()
they are sisters and just started to lay![]()
The smaller of the two girls doesn't look like she is laying just yet.![]()
I do have a question for some of you long time breeders out there. The two eggs that have been laid so far have been the size of a "penny" without any yolk in either of them. I am hoping that this changes but is it a sign of things to come?? (sorry no pics of the eggs they were discarded before I thought to post)![]()
