When everyone hatches Serama's, do you put them in lockdown on day 18 or day 19? I would think day 18 since they tend to hatch on day 19, but I would love to hear from those who have hatched Serama's before. Mine are due on Thursday or Tuesday if they hatch on day 19...

I can only share my experience.hope others jump in.
I have been hatching Seramas about three years.only had an early hatch one time.
I treat them the same as LF,lock down day 18.......in fact.always hatch them together...

i am selling the Olandsk Dwarf i showed the picture of in this thread. shes very pretty and very very, soft. it might not look as if so, but her tail is slightly pointed up. kind of like a barred plymouth rock tail. she is 94 days old, this means she will start laying eggs soon! my only problem is that she is not a serama! i recommend someone with chickens already so she acclimates better. you must live in/near Miami, Fl. i frequently go to Davie, Fl. i can meet you, or drop her off at Griff's Western feed store in Davie, Fl. please PM me for prices.

Too bad I live an hour north of Tampa. I would take her in a heart beat.

I treat them just like other chicken eggs. Lockdown on day 18 and all have hatched on day 21.

is it just me or do seramas take longer from pip to zip than most others >.> 10 p.m. still waiting

Here is Toy Boy and Holly Berry at almost 4 months old. He is happy out side with his flock. The younger chicks are 7 weeks old and the one of the ones that had a silver head is right behind the multi colored young cockling. These babies I didn't tame very well so hard to get a picture. I must try and get some of them tamer. I just have them for eye candy and boy is he a looker!

sorry if its been answered before, Will Serama use a tall cage? I was thinking a ferret cage with ramps and whatnot. The one I have love their little roost.
