i think my hen might be broody? she just started laying again on Saturday. usually when she lays an egg she just sits in the nest box, and then does her thing and leaves. on Saturday she puffed up a little when i put my hand near her, and today shes puffing up and making noise. she is very attached to me so i don't think she would bite me if she were broody.
 
i put an egg from goldie next to her and she put it under herself. she is getting more loud and puffy when i get close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ill give it a day and see how she is, if she commits ill buy her eggs to hatch!!!!!!1

The bark I got from the cedar wood that we split for the wood stove. You can buy the bark as pet stores in the reptile section for them. They also like those little plastic igloos for rabbits and the woven grass huts for chinchillas. I do a lot of shopping at the local pet shop for my Seramas. Another thing they like is the hanging bird toys with the bells on them and large bird swings. You can also buy the cat trees for them and strip the carpeting off and they love those, too.

I certainly try. They also get to sleep in bed with me one at a time and get fresh picked greens daily. They are spoiled rotten and they know it.

You will have to let us know how the cat toys go! I think I will get some bells! I definitely want to make them some branches to jump around on and some swings. How big of swings do you give them?

So I candled my Bhep eggs last night - day 12 - and only ONE is clear!!!! I'm so excited. Now I wanted to ask you guys, have you ever candled around the same time and seen movement?! Cause last night I had two eggs that I could see the ENTIRE chick!!!! Their beaks and eyes and little feeties movin around! Like they were going swimming! It was the COOLEST thing I have ever seen! I think I watched the first one for a good 5 minutes before I realized "CRAP I gotta get this guy back in the bator!"
I took a video, but I'm so bummed, the quality is crap. I need a better "in the dark" camera, but here it is anyway! I move around a ton at the end because I was trying to get it to focus better. It still shows the shadow moving around but there's no detail.

Haha thanks! It was amazing to watch! That was the first of two. I looked a little harder at the others and a couple more were moving a TINY bit, but nothing at all like that guy totally going wild! I am going to have to name him something dance-ish!
