My first ever serama hatch is now in lockdown. 7 of 12 made it this far. Wish me luck! They are officially due on Sunday.

My hen is brooch again! Two days ago she went brooch for 5 hours, now she went brooch again early this morning! She only goes brooch the days she lays eggs. She is super loud and ****** off every time I open the hatch (she is usually super sweet!). I want to get her eggs, but she won't commit! Let's see how long she lasts this time

So I candled my Bhep eggs last night - day 12 - and only ONE is clear!!!! I'm so excited. Now I wanted to ask you guys, have you ever candled around the same time and seen movement?! Cause last night I had two eggs that I could see the ENTIRE chick!!!! Their beaks and eyes and little feeties movin around! Like they were going swimming! It was the COOLEST thing I have ever seen! I think I watched the first one for a good 5 minutes before I realized "CRAP I gotta get this guy back in the bator!"
I took a video, but I'm so bummed, the quality is crap. I need a better "in the dark" camera, but here it is anyway! I move around a ton at the end because I was trying to get it to focus better. It still shows the shadow moving around but there's no detail.

That's really cool, I think I saw it's head in there!

Haha thanks! It was amazing to watch! That was the first of two. I looked a little harder at the others and a couple more were moving a TINY bit, but nothing at all like that guy totally going wild! I am going to have to name him something dance-ish!

She got off the eggs? i gave her 2 eggs 4 hours ago and she was on them until now? she seemed soo committed to it? what do you guys think?

I tried to break my broody for several days by kicking her out several times a day, but she would not stop sitting on eggs, so that's when I finally gave her some to hatch, which she did She's being a great mama now!

i have two seramas i have a frizzle and a smooth and im looking for a wheaten firzzle hen do you know anyone that breeds them?

Make sure you don't breed two frizzles together, you'll get a "curly" which is extreme, and usually they don't thrive, and their feathers are often just broken shafts, not a pretty sight!

I think she looks pretty darn good, nice tail carriage, good breast, she's just not standing up perfectly there, but I bet she could!

his tail is sad but he's nice when his tail is in lol

Oh, he looks luxurious! Like he's wearing a fur coat, ready for a Russian winter! LOL. again, if he posed, he'd look awesome. I can't quite tell though, are his legs too short for his wings to be vertical? He could also be crouching a bit. It's super hard to judge from photos, you know....
