Glad I'm not the only one drooling over silkies. I want some too!!! I just have to keep reminding myself that they aren't going extinct, so I can be patient......... http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz260/raezell2/tantrum.gif but its really hard waiting....

He's so cute!!! Mine is going through the ugly teenage stage, so no pictures for a while ... not enough head/face feathers. Poor Phyllis is being referred to as the vulture by my DH.

Awww what the heck, here she is in all of her gangliness, and stringy feathers

She actually is much cuter in person. I can't get a good picture of her to save my life. I probably need to get a picture of her in the brooder where she stands like a normal chicken, when she's not scared she's really cute. When she is on the table, all she can think of is running away!!! Especially somewhere I can't get her, like behind the fountain, or under the tv stand on the porch. She's an expert. I'm waiting for her to run into the dog door sometime. NOT! Well if the cat was sleeping it might work out okay.

Gumbi & Sue

I will have some silkied available before the end of the year. I have some now but they need time to mature. I'm really excited about them. Here is one of my cockerels that is the father of what I currently have. Unlike a lot of silkied serama, this guy has virtually no back! He is still young and only going to get better.

I still like the sleek feathers.....I am leaning to a B&W mottled or spangled [tri-color mottled] hen to add to my collection. I am just going by looks, I am a monochromatic kinda gal.....
