My first incubator hatch is starting........one of the 2 eggs that were fertile is pipping and I am trying to stop myself from pulling a chair up to the bator. The egg rocks on and off and I see the little pipped area moving as the chick pecks at it. The egis so small, I can't imagine the size of the chick in there! I haven't heard from the other good egg yet. I'm so hoping they make it. There is so much that can go wrong........I'm a wreck!

it will be ok trust me i speak form a ton of experience.... and watching isnt bad just no helping

We set the trap last night and caught something, but some how it fliipped the trap over and escaped!!! We will reset up tonight. I went to check on the chickens in the coop today. I just had a feeling to move the chicken feeder and its about 3 feet long. I moved it and low and behold is that bast%^$ snake I have been trying to catch for weeks, and it has a bulge in it. My momma hen instincts kicked in, I grabbed the shovel and started stabbing it with it, not even knowing what kind of snake it was. I missed several times and started screaming as it was lunging at me! .

I finally had it pinned with the shovel and It couldn't move, but I was stuck. I didn't have my phone and I didn't want to let go of the pressure or the snake may escape. I started yelling help...no one came (the coop is about 200 feet away from my house). Finally I let go enough to run to the door and get my husband attention and he came and saved the day. He said I heard you yelling but I though that you were just yelling at the chickens!!! Hello...I never raise my voice to my chickens, children is another story. He killed it with the shovel method. I must not be very strong because that it what I did and nothing happened for me!!! He left and said that he would cut it open later...that wasn't good enough for me. By this time the neighbor girl came bring me back my 20 month old that I had forgotten about it my snake rage and she said that she would cut it open. I just wanted to see what baby it had!! We flipped out and finally I had to do it...but there was alot of screaming going on!!!! It wasn't a serama thank goodness!

I took pictures..those to follow after I take a sanatizing shower. I still can feel it moving!!!!! On a good note it was a bull snake almost 6 feet long!!!
