just candled mine again. out of the 4 the one i thought was a blood ring is for sure one that had veins, the veins have all disappeared , just a dark free moving blob. and 2 has movement. day 10

Well my hens finally slowed down. I was hoping they would still be running fast and furious at least till set day for the valentines day hatch along.........

I have only gotten one egg in the last four days!

Mine are just getting started. I'm getting 3 to 4 eggs a day and I have 5 more hens that should start laying just any time now.

And I have eggs pipping in the incubator right now.

These aren't shipped eggs, they're from my own birds. I set 8, and as far as I could tell from candling, 6 were developing. They're due tomorrow, and there are 4 pipped for sure, and I think a 5th one. Hoping to wake up to new babies in the morning.

This bunch will all be split for silkied feathering. I think the daddy is a class A, he is so teeny tiny! I can put his daughters back with him to get more silky, but I really need to find some silkied Serama eggs I can get from someone else so I won't have severe inbreeding.

I wonder if the male might be sterile. Did the eggs develop at all? What did you feed them? I devised a breeding diet. I'm mixing 3 parts laying crumbles to 1 part 28% game bird starter. The starter raises the protein, vitamin and mineral levels.

not sterile they make to day 14 then die. my other eggs in with them were 100% hatch. flock raiser and some laying mash along with treats. right now i have some of jessshan eggs in and 2 have movement day 10. I have better hopes for these

Since the other eggs are hatching ok, then I assume the Seramas are just more delicate in general.
