American serama thread!

Sorry about asking this question but what is the reason for The American type Serama or is the Malay type of bird I'm seeing from Malaysia and Europe a newer extreme version of the original type birds?
New to this and haven't see any clear history on the different type birds online?

Thanks that helps alot. So are American Serama's crossbreed? Some look more like Japanese bantams or OEGBs?

Hawaii was a nice gift from great Britten it is the 50th state of our USA. not an import. I think. LOL
