Every time I get new chicks I wash butts every morning and evening; there's alway a couple that have dried droppings caked on their behinds. The first couple of times I worried that the chicks were sick, but that never happened. Anyone else have this? This never happens with my other breeds.

I think it was sallysunshine that said that because they where bred to be upright they have problems with pasty butt... my little frizzle had trouble with it too

Yes, that and tiny size with short legs. The problem disappears when they are a couple weeks old.

yep. mine stopped at around 2 weeks
