genetics are just genetics... as long as the parents look a certain way, there is a higher chance of you getting what you expect... and especially with fawn/dun, blue, choc dilute breedings, they are more predictable than you think... if you get a fawn, and breed it to a black, that doesn't mean you're going to get all kinds of random colors like blue, pinks or whatever... it means that you're going to get 50% fawn...

i'm working with fawn OEGB right now... very simple, but i'm breeding out the silver duckwing e+/e+ and trying to get E/E alleles... if you can do that, then you can do it in serama as well... just that a lot of their alleles and genes aren't hidden, but just over seen...

Ya what he said !

Also picked up this sold black hen that would be a great addition to a black or blue project. She has a great tail, full and wide, just again, in bad feather condition and molting.

Well, 2 hatched, 1 still zipping and I can't see the other 4..

..got one chipmunk pattern and the other is wheaten down, both have all the markings on their head like a Db or Pg chick down pattern. I have notice my F2 cocopop project hatchlings are 1/4 smaller then the F1 chicks, I can't wait to see how they color up at around 3 months old.

dot on top of the head can also be Co gene... a lot of my mille fleur and porcelain OEGB come out with a dot or two on their head...

Hi everyone, been awhile since I posted last. Been busy this year hatching some orp show stock. I have only hatched a total of 8 serama's this year and a recent 1 last week from Muddy which I believe is starting to look like a cure little frizzle!

Here are some pictures that were taken this evening of my oldest three growing out. The cream cockerel has stolen my heart and such a little camera chump.

Hey Gumbii, isn't that how you make chocolate in oegb by X fawn and black???? I never liked the blk colored that is why I don't have anything in my flock to test mate on my cocopop project.
