American serama thread!

I gave in and got some eggs....three hatched out, under my little Silkie EE hen...they now live their own cage,in my living room window....and the five that hatched under my Glorious Momma Bird...a pint size EE hen who is one of the best broody hens I've ever seen....they are out on the yard, in the special built little big chicken tractor with mom, learning how to be chickens....from the best Scratch and Pecker" I've ever seen...she must have been a clog dancer in some other life...I was worrying about the chicks, cause when Mom gets to scratching they had to get out of the way, or she might send them flying in her frenzy....but they managed to survive.

My serama hens kicked there kids around i have it on slow motion it was funny they manage to live though. Lol

This is Dinky. She is now seven weeks old and weighs a whopping 2 and 1/2 ounces. If she follows the growth rate of all my other serama, she will mature between 5 and 7 ounces. Another young pullet of the same age weighs 5 and 1/4 ounces and should mature at 10 to 12 ounces.

Dinky now has four younger siblings, two of which are even smaller than Dinky, weighing 2 grams less at one week of age.

I will post a new picture of Dinky as soon as I can.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO SCLARK73 WHO CARED FOR MY FLOCK WHILE I HAD TO BE OUT OF TOWN FOR TWO WEEKS. I CAME HOME TO A HEALTHY, HAPPY FLOCK. AND NINE NEW CHICKS!!!!!!!

For those that have Tribbles, at what age can sex be determined accurately? Mine are now close to 8 weeks old. The comb on one is a bit larger, but not enough to say conclusively that it is a rooster. If it were of my own stock I would say pullet.
