hi guys just a quick question are serama cockrel loud when they crow.? I'm buying some seramas in a day or 2 and I dont want them to become a nuisance to my neighbours. Thanks Emma

They are surprisingly loud for their size. Frankly, it's the PITCH that will peeve your neighbors off. You've been warned...

Well my 3 seramas have come today. There around 8 months old and I'm in love! They are adorable. The chap came with 6 hens a 4 cockrel and it was hard to choose if it was down to me I would of had them all lol. But I'm chuffed with the 3 I now have. Just wanted to show them off and see what u guys think

No I didn't incubate myself. It was just the one. Was a fluke that I ended up with it. Was one that got snuck in to bantam batch at feed store .Wasn't sure if the lil one was a Japanese Bantam or Serama it was so tiny compared to the rest. I was hoping it would be OK but knew yesterday it wasn't doing well. Slept alot and just didn't have much energy. I had only had it about 2 weeks but was loved a bunch the little time we had the lil one. Named it Marshmallow cuz was about roasting marshmallow size when got it.

Arww what a sweet name. Its a shame when you get a bond with them and then have to let go. I incubated some chicks and only 2 lived. But last April when i moved house they were around 10 or 11 weeks old I had to sell them as I was so busy with the move and getting the children settled in. I didn't have the time to hold them so they had to go . But now we're all settled I decided to get some seramas and hopefull ill become the crazy chicken lady again lol . But i will treasure the time I had with the chicks . Gone but never forgotten x
