American serama thread!

I use both, incubators and hatcher. As eggs pip they're moved to hatcher, where they remain at least 24 hours before moving to brooder. My reason, incubators stay clean and chicks are not running over and turning over remaining eggs.

Bobbyc,
I have wheaten and barred wheaten hatching last couple of days from Lisa J. Here are some of mine.

HOpe the pix is viewable, my monitor is on the fritz and hard to see what is actually there.

I used to try and take my chix out of hatcher right away. But I have found they do much better if left in hatcher about 24 hours to really get their legs working and ready to go. Also gives a chance for several to hatch and move them all together.

Jerry,
Are these black or blue spotted? I have some that look identical but have definite blue spots. These are so bright and just plain pretty looking and clean looking!

Going through some older photos. Can't remember if I ever shared this. Regardless here is Swayze when he was a lot younger with glasses on. He sleeps in your arms and stuff. He's so lazy.

And this is is the same bird a few months later. He was in my lap again and had been nibbling on pizza. Okay...I know. Pizza isn't good for him. XD He was actually eating the pineapple mostly, but I don't know where the crud on his beak came from.
