I apologize, I did not know not to talk about it. Thank you for the heads up. I will go to the critique gallery for nothing else but to look and learn.

He would never be culled...he is my DD's pet and fitting and showing bird. He such a sweety.

Thank you for all the info, I really appreciate it.

eta: I need to go and join SCNA also. I have been meaning to do this for some time and keep forgetting.

Not a problem, I just wanted to give you a heads-up in case you didn't get much critiquing here

If you were closer I would so buy one from you. Gosh they are gorgeous. How many years have you been raising Seramas?

Beautiful Pictures Cara!!! YAY!!! Your camera is finally doing your birds justice!

4cats3kids1hubby2many (Therese): Your rooster is fabulous. I love how friendly he looks, and how personable he seems. 'American Seramas' are judged in several categories, with "Character" being up there near the top. He looks like quite a character!

If you are interested in showing, the SCNA website has great info as to standards, and type, as well as upcoming shows. If showing is what you are into, take him in person for an evaluation. I find that pics seldom do my birds justice!

A few new pics of the silkied boy, I think he has too much back and not enough tail, but he's still cute

Who knows, he might grow into it.

The 4th pic shows much better tail!

Someday I hope to have a silkied Serama. My place is small, I have to be very selective right now, but I want a silkied, and a frizzled one of these days! Just to keep as lap chickens. LOL.

so i had a grat day with kate at her place talking chickens and getting stuff figured out for the upcoming show here in cali..... THANKS again kate for having me over
